Lunar New Year celebrations are a series of celebration, over the span of a little over ten days. In general, Lunar New Year Celebrations welcome the new year, the new fortune and the new luck.
​
On New Years Eve, families get together for a reunion dinner; the dinner is similar to the American Thanksgiving. Once midnight arrives, Lunar New Year celebrations officially begin.
​
Over the next ten days, each celebration aims to bring greater luck and fortune. Ill-fortune leaves and new luck arrives!
